Sand Sculpting Hints
For Big Sandsculptures you will need a MOOSE !
- Basic Tools
- Long handled garden shovel
- Steel rake
- Plastic knife ***
- 5 gallon pail
- Where
- Intertidal zone
- Fine siltlike sand
- How
- Wait between 2 - 3 hours after high tide - see "Seagull" and "Sea Serpent"
- Work in area just above where water comes in - a few feet
- Dig down to wet sand with shovel - preferably long-handled garden type
- Build up a base for sculpture
- Pack base down by walking on it
